How can I check/set the IP address for my TravelStor 8C?
Read below for information on how to check and set the IP address on the TravelStor 8C DAS.
a. The IP address can be obtained by checking the DHCP server for the IP address 'pulled' by the TravelStor 8C. You can find information on how to find the MAC address shown below.
b. The IP address can be found through the LCD of the unit using the below instructions:
--> i. Press & Hold the ENT (enter) button until it prompts for the password.
--> ii. Using the UP/DOWN arrows, browse to each letter of your password (the default is admin unless it has been changed). Be sure to press ENT after each letter and then hold the ENT button after the password is completed on the screen.
--> iii. Once the Main menu is accessed, it will show 'Quick Logical Drive Install...'
--> iv. Using the arrow keys scroll DOWN to 'View and Edit Configuration Params' (parameters), press ENT
--> v. Scroll DOWN to 'Communication Parameters', press ENT.
--> vi. Scroll DOWN to 'LAN IP Configuration', press ENT.
--> vii. This will show the MAC Address, press ENT.
--> viii. This will show the current IP address. If it has a (D), this means it is setup for DHCP.
To Change the IP address, press ENT, then the down arrow, then ENT on "Setup IP address", press the ENT button once you see the current IP address, and then press and hold ENT once you see "Set/Change IP addr".
a. Static - Use the UP/DOWN and the ENT buttons to enter in the proper Static IP address, subnet, and gateway. Once finished, press and hold the ENT button.
b. DHCP - Using the UP/DOWN arrows, enter in "DHCP". Be sure to press ENT after each character and then hold the ENT button once done. |
