- (2) 4Gb Fibre Channel host interfaces, or (2) 3Gb SAS host interfaces (field upgradable)
- (1) JBOD expansion port per controller, use Dual Controller for redundant paths
- Each SecurStor Astra ES RAID header can support up to (4) JBODs
- Single controller or Dual controller RAID (field upgradable)
- 60-hour lithium-ion Battery Backup Module (BBU) standard and hot-swappable
- 512MB cache standard per controller, upgradable up-to 2GB cache as an option
- Supports failover/failback RAID contollers for high availability

- Predictive data caching analysis with automatic cache optimization
- 512 command queue depth per controller, 16-byte CDB SCSI support for 64-bit LBA addressing and >2TB LUN support
- RAID 0, 1, 1E, 5, 6, 10, 50 or 60. Multiple RAID arrays can co-exist in the same subsystem. RAID level migration supported from RAID 5 to RAID 6. Global or dedicated hot spares
- Advanced RAID physical disk partitioning allows for each physical HDD to support more than one Array Level simultaneously
- Configurable stripe size from 64K up to 1MB per array
- Background media polling and integrity checking, scheduled health monitoring runs as low priority service
- Supports LUN mapping and masking which works great for SAN's and large clusters configuration
