SUPPORT POSITION :

Excel Meridian Data is expanding its technical support team and has an immediate opening for a top-notch support engineer in our professional services/support department.
In this key position you will be supporting our worldwide customer base from our Dallas, TX office. Located in the Dallas area for over 16 years, Excel Meridian Data offers a casual and personalized small office work environment with generous benefits and compensation package for our employees.

Essential responsibilities: Single point of contact for customers seeking assistance, providing problem resolution by email or phone. - Escalating bug reports to programming and development teams for resolution and following-up as needed. - Generating and testing equipment for warranty/service related services.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Windows 2000/2003/XP Active Directory experience
• Prior background working with storage. (NAS, SAN, DAS)
• Unix/Linux experience a big plus
• VMWare experience a big plus
• MCSE certification or equivalent experience desired
• MS Dynamics CRM experience a plus
• Innate critical thinking, problem solving mindset
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Extreme attention to detail
• Strong desire to follow through
• Must work efficiently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Work closely with the sales team to maintain client relationships
• Quickly adapt to our unique product line, specializing in network storage hardware solutions

Education:

Minimum 4 years hands-on experience, or degree equivalent, in computer networking or storage fields.

Compensation:

• Salary commensurate experience, range from 35k to 45k
• 401K, Health, Dental, Vision insurance plans available.

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR

SALES POSITIONS:

You will establish new and service existing accounts, selling the full-line of Excel Meridian Data products. This is not an "order taking" position, your past experience and technical knowledge of computer networking and storage solutions will be required to properly qualify and assist customers in selecting the correct solution.

Strong previous sales experience as well as a strong understanding of technical concepts dealing with computer networks and storage solutions are a must. Previous experience with NAS and SAN solutions are a plus.

SUPPORT POSITIONS:

You will support our installed customer base of all solutions sold by Excel Meridian Data. Support is handled via telephone and e-mail. Tasks include troubleshooting issues, duplicating customer environments in our lab, and working closely with our Systems Engineers for resolutions, while providing prompt and accurate information to your customer.

Strong technical knowledge is a requirement with previous hands-on experience or certifications equal to CCNA, MCSE, CNE. Our support engineers must be familiar with routine networking environments and understand the inner workings of the IP based network. Previous experience with NAS and SAN solutions are a plus.
